The Hot Boys of Jenison play an amalgam of Americana, country and alt rock – both originals, with influences ranging from Warren Zevon, the Pogues, Talking Heads – and covers from the 1960s thru now, from Creedence Clearwater to Tom Petty and Weezer. The Hot Boys came together in 2024, forming the core band for Bart Moore’s third album, the well-received and glowingly-reviewed Wild Flora.
"Bart Moore's third album, Wild Flora, is really something else; crazy, impudent singing and genius writing....His excellent band is to die for - what an absolute corker. Folkwales verdict: Thumbs up!"

…in the aftermath of the release of Flora, the band has continued to play together at local and regional Michigan venues including brew pubs, bars and outdoor events. Guitarist Cody Wilson hails from Amarillo Texas, by way of Nashville, where he played as a road and session musician for several years before moving to Michigan. Drummer/percussionist Ryan Eggebrecht plays with a number of local ensembles, including Deacon Earl’s Icy Water Blues. Bassist Craig Cole is dubbed by Wilson as the band’s “border collie” who keeps the rehearsals focused while singer/guitarist Bart Moore keeps the beer flowing.
